Introduction
Methylhexahydrophthalic anhydride, abbreviated as MeH-HPA, belongs to the class of cyclic acid anhydrides. It is irritating, and its hazard codes include 41 (serious eye damage) and 42/43 (risk of skin sensitization); protective equipment must be worn when handling it. Methylhexahydrophthalic anhydride is an excellent organic solvent used as an epoxy resin curing agent.
