Product Details
Introduction
Perfluorohexane is a chemical with high affinity for oxygen (O2) and good biocompatibility. It has been used as an artificial blood substitute and ultrasound imaging contrast agent in clinical practice. Perfluorohexane has been widely studied as an important oxygen delivery medium for alleviating tumor hypoxia. However, the high hydrophobicity of this substance leads to its short half-life in vivo and inability to effectively enrich in tumor tissue. It is worth noting that there are reports that fluorocarbon-modified materials can improve the in vivo stability of this substance, because the fluorocarbon fragment is similar to the molecular structure of this substance and can be embedded in perfluorohexane droplets.
