Introduction

Phenoxycyclophosphazene, with a molecular weight of 693.561, is a white crystalline powder with a density of 1.3 ± 0.1 g/cm³, a melting point of 112.0–116.0 °C, and a boiling point of 280 °C at 0.1 mmHg. It is soluble in toluene and is stable at room temperature; it should be stored in a sealed, dry container.

Applications

Phenoxycyclophosphazene is an additive halogen-free flame retardant mainly used in PC, PC/ABS resin, PPO, nylon and other products. Phenoxycyclophosphazene also has a good flame retardant effect on epoxy resin and can be used to prepare large-scale integrated circuit packaging materials. Its flame retardant performance is much better than the traditional phosphorus-bromine flame retardant system; phenoxycyclophosphazene can be used for benzoxazine resin glass cloth laminates; it can also be used in polyethylene, and the oxygen index of the flame-retardant polyethylene material can reach 30.0~33.0; it can also be added to viscose fibre spinning solution to obtain flame-retardant viscose fibre with an oxygen index of 25.3~26.7; it can also be used for LED light-emitting diodes, powder coatings, potting materials and polymer materials.
