Introduction and Application

Thermoplastic polyamide elastomer (TPAE), commonly known as nylon elastomer, is a multi-block copolymer composed of high melting point structural polyamide (PA) as hard segment and low glass transition temperature non-structural polyether, polyester or polysiloxane as soft segment.

TPAE has low density, high tensile strength, excellent thermal stability, good wear resistance and other properties. It has been used in high-end sporting goods such as sports shoes, mountaineering shoes, ski boots and rugby, as well as in the automotive field such as oil pipelines, bumpers and accelerator pedal limiters.

Moreover, TPAE has good biocompatibility and can be used in medical catheters, medical hoses, infusion hoses and other medical equipment. In addition, TPAE can also be used as a permanent antistatic agent, gas separation film and shape memory material, etc.
