Introduction
Potassium fluorosilicate is white crystal or powder. It is odorless and tasteless. It is slightly acidic. It is hygroscopic. It is slightly soluble in water. It is soluble in hydrochloric acid, and its solubility increases slightly with the increase of temperature. It is insoluble in alcohol. It is hydrolyzed into potassium fluoride, hydrogen fluoride and silicic acid in hot water. It decomposes into potassium fluoride and silicon tetrafluoride when burned.
