Properties: White crystals, slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in hot water, solubility 6.5 g/100 ml (80°C), 19 g/100 ml (100°C). Toxic. Melting point: 840°C.
Uses: Used in the production of metallic zirconium, zirconium compounds, ferroalloys, magnesium-aluminum alloys, steel and non-ferrous metal alloys, as well as the atomic energy industry and advanced electrical materials, refractory materials, electric vacuum technology materials, fireworks, ceramics, enamel and glass production.
