Introduction and Application
Properties: White granular crystals, slightly soluble in water, hot alcohol and ethanol, insoluble in alkaline solution, can be decomposed into boron trifluoride by strong acid, and eutectic with carbonates of alkali metals to form fluorides and borates. Melting point: 530℃.
Uses: Analytical reagents, electrochemical engineering and chemical experiments. Raw materials for boron trifluoride, raw materials for the production of boron-containing alloys by aluminum-magnesium casting, flux for hot welding and copper welding, abrasives for thermosetting resin grinding wheels, and can remove light metal slag when welding and fusing silver, gold and stainless steel. Resin finishing agent for textile printing and dyeing, metal particle size improver for non-ferrous metals.
