Sodium dodecyl sulfate is non-toxic, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in chloroform and ether, easily soluble in water, and has good compatibility with anions and nonions. It has good emulsification, foaming, penetration, decontamination, and dispersion properties; rich foam; and fast biodegradation.
