Introduction and Application
Properties:White crystalline powder, toxic, soluble in water, decomposed into sodium fluoride and hydrogen fluoride when heated, insoluble in ethanol, aqueous solution can corrode glass. Has a strong acid taste, absorbs water and releases hydrogen fluoride in humid air. At high temperature, aluminum or aluminum alloy has corrosion resistance to sodium hydrogen fluoride. Relative density 2.08.
Uses:It is used as a preservative for food, animal specimens and anatomical specimens, a preservative, and is used for etching glass, making tin plates, treating textiles, removing rust, and preventing insects from leather. It can be used as a metal welding agent when mixed with potassium bifluoride.
