Introduction and Application
Sodium oleate, also known as oleic acid soap, is a white to slightly yellowish powder or a light brownish-yellow coarse powder. It has a distinctive taste and odor. Its melting point is 232-235°C. It is soluble in water and alkaline. It is neutral in ethanol and insoluble in benzene.
Main Uses:
Mineral processing, fabric waterproofing, soap making, and as an anionic surfactant and fabric waterproofing agent.
