Soybean fatty acids are a white to pale yellow paste or liquid mixture of fatty acids extracted from soybeans. Their main components are palmitic acid (10.8%), stearic acid (4.24%), oleic acid (23.48%), linoleic acid (53.58%), and linolenic acid (7.79%). Their content is primarily determined by genetic factors, with environmental influences playing a minor role.

Applications
Soya fatty acids are mainly used in paints, soaps and detergents, surfactants, rubber antioxidants, plasticizers, etc. In the coating industry, it is mainly used to produce modified alkyd resins, which can shorten the reaction time, reduce production costs, and improve the quality of coatings.
