Introduction and Application
Tungsten diselenide is a black or gray solid powder with a molar mass of 341.76g/mol, a hexagonal layered crystal structure, a density of 9.32g/cm3, and poor thermal conductivity. Its thermal conductivity is about one ten-thousandth of that of diamond, which has better thermal conductivity. In addition, the band gap of tungsten selenide (WSe2) is between wide-gap semiconductors and zero-gap graphene, and it has excellent electrical and optical properties and high quantum yield.
Tungsten diselenide can be used in flexible thin-film solar cells.
