Introduction
Tetrabutyl titanate is a light yellow liquid. It is an organic titanium compound used as a catalyst for polycondensation and crosslinking reactions. It is mainly used for esterification and transesterification reactions, such as the synthesis of polyester polyols. It can also be used as a metal-plastic viscosity enhancer, high-strength polyester paint modifier, crosslinker, etc.
Tetrabutyl titanate is used in coating products such as insulating paint to improve heat resistance (heat resistant up to 500°C), improve the adhesion of coatings, rubber and plastics to metal surfaces, and is also used as a condensation catalyst and crosslinker.
