Introduction and Application

UV 144 is a hindered amine stabilizer with partially hindered phenolic antioxidant behavior. This product significantly extends the service life of the paint film by protecting the paint and minimizing cracking and gloss loss.

UV144 also has the property of making powder coatings triboelectrically charged.

When this product is used in conjunction with ultraviolet light absorbers, the weather resistance of the coating will be significantly improved. The synergistic effect will make the coating work better. It has a good inhibitory effect on gloss loss, cracking, blistering, shedding and discoloration, and can also inhibit the yellowing of the resin caused by high-temperature baking.

This light stabilizer can be added to the midcoat and topcoat in the two-layer system automotive paint. According to our experience, adding the light stabilizer to the top layer of coating can achieve the best protection effect.

For powder coatings, UV 144 can make the powder coatings triboelectrically charged, which can bring the following benefits:

1. Improve the powder application rate in tribostatic spraying and reduce the amount of powder recovery

2.Improve the adhesion between powder coatings and workpieces.

3. Improve the "coating" of workpieces during spraying.

UV 144 may react with acidic components in the coating system, such as acid catalysts. Therefore, please test it when using it under such conditions.
