Introduction and Application
UV 5050H has excellent light stability in films and thin-walled products.
Recommended dosage: 0.1-1.2%
UV 5050H has very good light stability for PP fibers. In thick automotive parts made of PP copolymer resin, UV 5050H, either used alone or in conjunction with UV 4050 H, shows excellent light stability and thermal stability. UV 5050H (used alone or in conjunction with 4050 H) shows no or little water in water cooling of PP film products.
For reference, we recommend an addition of 0.20-0.50%.
UV 5050H shows good light stability in both thick and thin products.
Recommended dosage: 0.1-0.5%
Nylon: UV 5050H and 4050 H in a 1:1 ratio have very good light stability for nylon fibers.
UV 5050H and 3035 H in a 1:1 ratio can significantly improve the thermal stability, light stability and weather resistance of ASA.
Summary: The amount of addition depends on the light stability effect to be achieved by the resin, which must be determined experimentally according to different resin systems.
The performance of UV 5050H may be antagonistic when used in combination with sulfur-containing stabilizers (such as thiodipropionate or thiophenol anti-aging agents), as well as thio or halogen pigments and pesticides. Pesticides may be very important for agricultural films. This principle also applies to halogen flame retardants.
