Vinyltrimethoxysilane has one vinyl group and three methoxy groups attached to the silicon atom, making it highly reactive and is primarily used as a coupling agent and adhesion promoter.

1. Vinyl trimethoxysilane is an important crosslinking agent for crosslinked polyethylene. Since silane crosslinked polyethylene has excellent electrical properties, good heat resistance and stress cracking resistance, this product is widely used in the manufacture of wires, insulation and sheath materials.
2. The crosslinked polyethylene made with this product as a crosslinking agent has the advantages of good resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, oil resistance, stress cracking resistance, high mechanical strength and good heat resistance. It can be used for the anti-corrosion and thermal insulation outer protective layer of oil, natural gas and coal gas pipelines and the corresponding anti-corrosion and thermal insulation heat shrink sleeve patching materials.
3. It can improve and enhance the electrical and thermal conductivity and increase the storage period of room temperature silicone rubber.
