Introduction
Disodium 4-nitrophenylphosphate (PNPP) is a chromogenic β-D-glucosidase substrate that produces a yellow solution after cleavage. It is a chromogenic substrate for the determination of acid and alkaline phosphatases. The reaction can produce a yellow end product that can be read at a wavelength of 405nm. The reaction can be terminated by 3 N NaOH solution.
