Product Details
Introduction
n-Butyl fumarate is a dibutyl ester derivative of furan diacid. This compound has a typical ester aroma. Due to its good thermal stability and low volatility, it is widely used as a plasticizer, polymer modifier and synthetic intermediate. It is a colorless, transparent oily liquid with a boiling point of 280°C, a freezing point of -65°C to -80°C, a viscosity of 8 centipoise (20°C), a refractive index of 1.444 (25°C), and a flash point of 140.5°C.

Application
n-Butyl fumarate is an internal plasticizer that can be copolymerized with monomers such as vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate, and styrene. Copolymers are often used in coatings, films, adhesives, rubbers, pigment fixatives, etc.
When n-Butyl fumarate is used in polyvinyl chloride products, it can make the products soft, smooth, and highly transparent.
n-Butyl fumarate has strong solvent ability and can effectively plasticize resins that are generally difficult to plasticize (such as acrylonitrile and methacrylate resins)
