Introduction
N,N'-Carbonyldiimidazole is a white crystalline solid with a melting point of 118–120 °C, a boiling point of 497 °C, and a density of 1.465 g/cm³. It is insoluble in water but soluble in alcohols and ethers.
N,N'-Carbonyldiimidazole reacts with functional groups such as carboxyl, amino, and hydroxyl groups and is used in the synthesis of ketones, esters, and urea compounds, as well as for peptide bonding.
