Application
It is mainly used as a raw material for the synthesis of dyeing and printing auxiliaries and the wool textile softener VS. It can also be used for the surface treatment of waterproof fabrics. It is obtained by reacting octadecylamine directly with phosgene in a chlorobenzene solution at 50°C, followed by decomposition at 130°C and vacuum distillation.
