Product Details
Introduction
Sodium methyl cocoyl taurate is an amino acid-based surfactant formed by the condensation of natural fatty acids with sodium methyl taurate. It appears as a white paste at room temperature and transforms into a pale yellow liquid at temperatures above 40°C. It produces rich, stable foam across a wide pH range, contains a hydrophilic amino acid structure, is low in skin irritation, can reduce the irritation caused by other surfactants, and is readily biodegradable.
Application
Sodium methyl cocoyl taurate is a naturally derived taurine surfactant. It is a milky white viscous paste at room temperature. It has moderate cleaning power, excellent foaming performance, and good mildness. When constructing a formula, it has good thickening properties and can assist crystallisation of the paste formula. It is widely used in shampoo and facial cleansing cream.
