Introduction
Dioctadecyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride (CAS 107-64-2) is a quaternary ammonium salt compound. At room temperature, it appears as a colorless or pale yellow liquid, paste, or white powder. It has good chemical stability and is sparingly soluble in water but soluble in nonpolar solvents, alcohols, and hot water.
Dioctadecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride is mainly used as an excellent emulsifier for synthetic rubber, silicone oil, asphalt and other oil chemicals; it is also the main component of conditioner; it can also be used as an antistatic agent for synthetic fibers, a glass fiber softener, a fabric softener, and a bactericide and disinfectant.
