Introduction
Phenethyl alcohol is an edible flavoring, also known as ethylphenylethanol and β-phenylethanol. It exists naturally in aromatic oils such as neroli oil, rose oil, and geranium oil. It is widely used in various edible flavors and soap flavors because of its soft, pleasant and lasting rose aroma. It is an additive for rose-flavored foods and the main raw material for rose-flavored flavors.

Phenethyl alcohol is a food-grade fragrance permitted for use in China. It is used in quantities appropriate for normal production needs and can also be used to formulate rose-scented floral essential oils and various floral fragrances, such as jasmine, clove, and orange blossom. It can be used to formulate almost all types of floral essential oils and is widely used in the formulation of soap and cosmetic fragrances. In addition, it can be used to formulate various food-grade flavorings, such as strawberry, peach, plum, melon, caramel, honey, and butter.
