Polyacrylic Acid (PAA) CAS 9003-01-4 Introduction
Other Names: PAA, PAAc, Acrysol, Acumer, Alcosperse, Aquatreat, Carbomer, Sokalan
Polyacrylic acid (PAA) is non-toxic, easily soluble in water, and can operate under alkaline and medium concentration conditions without scaling.
PAA can disperse microcrystals or sediment of salts such as calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate in water without precipitation, thereby achieving the purpose of scale inhibition;
PAA is commonly used as a dispersant and scale inhibitor in circulating cooling water systems, including power plants, chemical plants, fertilizer plants, refineries, and air conditioning systems.
PAA is also widely used in papermaking and textiles, printing and dyeing, ceramics, coatings, building materials, and other industries.
