Introduction
4-sec-Butylphenol can be used as an antioxidant: in lubricants, fuels and polymers, it acts as an antioxidant to prevent oxidative degradation.
4-sec-Butylphenol is used as a plasticizer to improve the flexibility and processing properties of plastics such as PVC.
4-sec-Butylphenol is used as a surfactant in detergents, emulsifiers and wetting agents to reduce surface tension.
4-sec-Butylphenol can also be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of certain drugs and pesticides.
