Introduction
KT-R74E is a methacryloxysilane. Its molecular structure contains a methacryloxy functional group with an unsaturated double bond structure and three hydrolyzable alkoxy (ethoxy) groups. This dual reactivity allows it to improve the bonding, adhesion and compatibility between inorganic materials (glass, metal, filler) and organic polymers (thermosetting resins, plastics, elastomers) through a two-way chemical reaction, thereby improving the mechanical properties of resin-based composite materials or improving the bonding strength and water resistance of resin coatings. At the same time, this product can also be copolymerized with monomers such as acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, vinyl acetate, styrene, etc. containing unsaturated double bonds, thereby giving the copolymer moisture curing and good adhesion and water resistance. In different applications, it can be used as a coupling agent, adhesion promoter, crosslinking agent, surface modifier of pigments and fillers, silicone-modified graft copolymer monomer, etc.

| Solubility | It is soluble in aromatic and most aliphatic solvents such as alcohols and ketones and slightly soluble in water but will hydrolyse. The hydrolysate is unstable and easily polymerises under overheating, light, and the presence of peroxides. |
Application
1. This product can improve the mechanical and electrical properties of glass fibre-reinforced and inorganic filler-containing thermosetting and thermoplastic resins, especially those cured by active free radical mechanisms (such as unsaturated polyesters, polyurethanes and acrylates), peroxide-cured rubber (EPR, EPDM, silicone rubber, etc.) and thermoplastic resins (including polyolefins and thermoplastic polyurethanes).
2. This product can significantly improve the dry and wet mechanical strength and electrical properties of unsaturated polyester composites filled with inorganic fillers (such as cast or die-cast artificial quartz stone, etc.).
3. This product can be copolymerised with vinyl acetate, acrylic acid or methacrylic acid monomers to synthesise silane-modified polymers that can be cross-linked and cured at room temperature. Such polymers are widely used in coatings, adhesives and sealants to provide excellent adhesion and durability.
