Product Details
Introduction
Glycol sulfite (CAS 3741-38-6) is a colourless, transparent liquid with a density of 1.426 g/cm³ (25°C) and a flash point of 79°C (closed cup). vapour pressure of 1.94 mmHg (at 25°C) and a refractive index of 1.445 (at 20°C). This substance is stable under normal temperature and pressure and is primarily used as an electrolyte additive in lithium-ion batteries. It prevents propylene carbonate (PC) from embedding in graphite electrodes and improves battery cycle performance. It is also used as a raw material for organic synthesis, a pharmaceutical intermediate, and a solvent. Store in a sealed container away from light in a well-ventilated, dry place. In the event of a spill, clean up using an absorbent material.

Application
As an organic solvent for lithium-ion battery electrolytes and also as an additive for lithium-ion battery electrolytes, lithium-ion battery electrolytes will show excellent storage stability after adding DTO, which can improve the low-temperature performance of the electrolyte and prevent PC molecules from being embedded in graphite electrodes. It can also be used for organic synthesis and pharmaceutical intermediates.
