Product Description
Product Details
Introduction
The structure of quaternary phosphonium salt is similar to that of quaternary ammonium salt. The radius of a phosphorus atom is larger than that of a nitrogen atom, and the polarisation effect is stronger than that of quaternary ammonium salt.
Applications
Main uses: phosphine ylide precursor of the Wittig reaction in the synthesis of fine chemicals, medicines, and liquid crystal monomers; curing accelerator of polymer polymerization; and phase transfer catalyst in organic synthetic chemistry.
Ethyltriphenylphosphonium bromide is used as a phosphine ylide precursor in the Wittig reaction in the synthesis of fine chemicals, medicines, and liquid crystal monomers. It can also be used as a curing accelerator for polymer polymerisation, such as powder coatings and epoxy resins, and as a phase transfer catalyst in organic synthetic chemistry.
