Isodecyl methacrylate is a chemical substance with the molecular formula C14H26O2, a molecular weight of 226.355 g/mol, and a boiling point of 218°C (101.3 kPa). This substance is a colorless, transparent liquid packaged in steel drums or stainless steel containers with a net weight of 180 kg. It must be stored in a cool, well-ventilated area away from light and sources of fire. The shelf life at 30°C is 6 months. During transportation, it must be protected from sunlight, rain, and high temperatures.
Isodecyl methacrylate is used as thermoplastic and thermosetting acrylic resins, paper coating agents, textile finishing agents, leather treatment agents, plasticizers in organic glass, etc.
