Introduction
Triacetin is a colourless, transparent, oily liquid, slightly bitter, slightly soluble in water, and soluble in a variety of organic solvents, with the general properties of esters, a boiling point of 258℃ (101 kPa), a flash point of 138℃ (closed cup), and a melting point of -70℃. Strong solvation can give the product good flexibility.

Application
This product, Triacetin, is an environmentally friendly plasticizer that does not contain "phthalates" and meets the environmental standards of European and American countries. It is mainly used as a plasticizer for cellulose diacetate, a filter for cigarettes, and can also be used as a fixative and lubricating matrix for flavours and fragrances and cosmetics. In addition, it is also used as a plasticiser and solvent for ink coatings, cellulose nitrate, cellulose acetate, ethyl cellulose and cellulose acetate butyrate. In casting, it is used as a self-hardening agent for moulding sand.
