Introduction

Vinylmethyldimethoxysilane is an important organosilicon monomer. For example, it can be used as a silane coupling agent. Since vinyl silane coupling agents contain double bonds, they can react with organic matter to introduce new functional groups. Different from ordinary silane coupling agents, it is a type of silane product with a wide range of uses and large dosage. It is often used for surface treatment of glass fibers,inorganic filler-filled plastics, sealants, adhesives and tackifiers. Methylvinyldiethoxysilane can also be hydrolyzed for the synthesis of cyclic methylvinylsiloxane, which is an important raw material for the production of methylvinyl silicone rubber (VMQ).
