Introduction and Application
2-Hydroxy-4'-(2-hydroxyethoxy)-2-methylpropiophenone is a highly efficient non-yellowing UV photoinitiator, also known as photoinitiator 2959.
Photoinitiator 2959 is used to initiate UV polymerisation of unsaturated prepolymer systems, especially for low-odour, water-based acrylate and unsaturated polyester resins. The active hydroxyl groups in the photoinitiator 2959 molecule make it easy to react with unsaturated resins.
