Introduction and Application
2-Benzyl-2-(dimethylamino)-4'-morpholinobutyrophenone, also known as photoinitiator 369, is one of the important components of photocurable adhesives and plays a decisive role in the curing rate.
2-Benzyl-2-(dimethylamino)-4'-morpholinobutyrophenone appears as a pale yellow crystalline powder with a melting point of 110–115°C and a density of 1.18 g/cm³ and a molecular weight of 366.5. It is a UV initiator characterised by high photosensitivity and UV absorbance, and is suitable for radical photopolymerization reactions. It is commonly used in combination with co-initiators in UV-curable inks and coatings (such as blue and black colour systems) and is suitable for formulations containing UV absorbers. Its primary applications include packaging materials such as offset and screen printing inks and coloured paints, as well as photoresists and solder mask inks in the electronics industry.
