Introduction
n-Hexyltriethoxysilane can be used as a surface modifier to create hydrophobicity (e.g. on concrete, glass, inorganic pigments or mineral fillers). When n-Hexyltriethoxysilane is diluted with a suitable solvent, it can be used in the formulation of waterproofing products. Proper use allows the product to penetrate and provide waterproofing properties. React with the cementitious substrate. The treated substrate is hydrophobic and retains its original appearance.
