Introduction and Application
UV 571 is suitable for thermoplastic polyurethane, coatings and integral foam, hard and soft PVC, PVB, PMMA, PVDC, EVOH, thermosetting unsaturated polyester and PA, PET, PUR, and PP spinning finishing. It is also suitable for latex, paraffin, adhesives, homo/copolystyrene, elastomers, and polyolefins.
It is easily soluble in a variety of solvents, monomers, and intermediates and is easily emulsified in water-based adhesives; it can also be used for polymerization reactions and PVC sheets.
It has good compatibility with most substrates, low volatility at high temperatures, strong absorption capacity for ultraviolet rays, and a good protection effect on substrates.
Depending on the type of substrate and the performance requirements of the final product, the usage is between 0.2% and 5.0%. For polyurethane, according to the processing conditions and long-term light stability requirements, the usage can be selected between 0.2% and 0.5%. The usage in PVC is between 0.3% and 0.5%. The usage of co-extruded PVC can be increased to 5%.
It can be used together with other additives such as phenolic antioxidants, auxiliary antioxidants (such as thioethers and phosphites), and hindered amine light stabilizers.
