Product Details
Introduction
Tetrabutylammonium bromide, also known as a quaternary ammonium salt, has similar properties to inorganic salts: an off-white solid with a melting point of 166-175°C. Hygroscopic and soluble in water, alcohol, ether, and chloroform.
Tetrabutylammonium bisulfate dust or solution is irritating to the eyes, skin, and respiratory tract and may cause severe skin burns and eye damage (H314); it is harmful if swallowed (H302) and poses a long-term hazard to aquatic life (H414).
Application
Phase transfer catalyst for organic synthesis, curing accelerator for polymer polymerization, fluororubber vulcanization accelerator, organic electrolyte for electronics industry, oilfield chemical agent, molecular sieve template agent, phase change cold storage material, high performance liquid chromatography analysis reagent, surfactant, descaling agent, adsorbent, oil displacement agent, etc.
