Product Details
Introduction
Triethylene glycol divinyl ether is a bifunctional compound. Under the action of photoinitiator and ultraviolet light, it generates a cross-linked insoluble product and can undergo cationic polymerization. The freely rotating ether bonds in the molecule can give the product flexibility and improve the toughness of epoxy resin.
Application
Triethyleneglycol divinyl ether is commonly used as a diluent for UV-curing coatings and an intermediate for the synthesis of polycarboxylic acid concrete water reducers. It is also used in UV polymerization reactions of various unsaturated systems. It is suitable for both free radical reactions and cationic systems. In cationic systems, it has fast curing speed, small shrinkage, and a high double bond conversion rate.
