Other Names: Triphenyl phosphate; Triphenyl phosphoric acid ester; Phenyl Phosphate (TPPa); triphenyl phosphate white xtl; Phosphoric acid, triphenyl ester
Triphenyl phosphate (flame retardant TPP, CAS 115-86-6) is a phosphorus-containing compound that can be used as a halogen-free, environmentally friendly flame retardant and is soluble in organic solvents. It is a white, odorless crystalline powder that is insoluble in water. It readily hydrolyzes upon exposure to moisture to form free phenol and is soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols, ethers, benzene, and acetone. It also absorbs ultraviolet light.
It is mainly used as a flame retardant and plasticizer and is widely used in engineering plastics, coatings, adhesives, cosmetics, hydraulic oils, and other fields.
