Introduction

3-Isocyanatopropyltriethoxysilane is a new type of isocyanatosilane coupling agent. Its isofluoric acid group exhibits the typical chemical properties of alkyl isocyanate: it can easily react with active hydrogen (such as hydroxyl, amine, sulfhydryl, etc.) in organic polymers, and its alkoxy groups can provide good adhesion to the substrate after hydrolysis or cross-link with each other. Utilizing the above characteristics, this product can be used for end-capping modification of the above polymers, improving the adhesion and water resistance of the resin coating to a variety of substrates, achieving primer-free, and giving the resin the characteristics of moisture curing.

Physical Indicators

Application 

1. A silane coupling agent containing an active isocyanate functional group. The isocyanate group exhibits the chemical properties of a typical alkyl isocyanate and can easily react with active hydrogen (such as hydroxyl, amine, thiol, etc.) in an organic polymer. After hydrolysis, the alkoxy group provides good adhesion to the substrate or cross-links with each other.
2. A cross-linking agent that can be used in one-component moisture-curing polyurethane to end-cap diols or polyether polyols;
3. An adhesion promoter for one-component moisture-curing polyurethane or two-component reactive polyurethane.
4. An adhesion promoter for silicone adhesives or coatings to enhance their adhesion, water resistance, and weather resistance;
5. A key material for the production of STPU of silicone-modified hydroxy polyethers.
