Product Details
Introduction
N-phenylmaleimide (NPMI) has a very wide range of uses due to its unique free radical polymerization, ion polymerization, photosensitivity, and antibacterial effects. NPMI can copolymerize and homopolymerize with many vinyl monomers and can be used as a heat-resistant modifier for ABS, PVC, and PMMA. It can also be copolymerized with styrene, maleic anhydride, and acrylonitrile to form heat-resistant modified polymers. It can also be used as a synthetic intermediate for medicines and pesticides and as a vulcanization crosslinking agent in natural rubber and synthetic rubber. In addition, NPMI can effectively prevent the attachment and reproduction of harmful organisms in the water, has low toxicity to fish, and is used as an antifouling agent for ships, warships, underwater pipelines, and fishing nets.

Application
N-Phenyl maleimide is mainly used in polymer materials (ABS, PVC, PMMA, etc.) as a heat-resistant modifier; in the rubber industry, it is used as a cross-linking agent for polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride. The adhesive made from NPMI can improve the adhesion between metal and rubber; it can also be used as a raw material for coatings, photosensitive resins, rubber accelerators, and insulating varnishes and is an important intermediate for medicines, pesticides, and fuels.
