Pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (PMDETA) is a highly active, liquid tertiary amine foaming catalyst, mainly used for polyurethane rigid foam and flexible foam. In molding systems, it has the same catalytic activity as the catalysts of current urea reaction systems and even has greater catalytic activity than the existing foaming catalysts for polyurethane and gel. It is recommended for TDI, TDI/MDI, and MDI HR elastomers and also for integral skin foam and microcellular systems or as a raw material for quaternary ammonium salts.
