Introduction
Triethylenediamine is a white or pale yellow crystalline solid. It has an ammonia-like odor. As an organic synthesis intermediate and a component in the production of light-stabilizing materials, it is widely used in polyurethane foams, elastomers, plastic products, and molding processes. It also serves as a polymerization initiator and can be used as a catalyst for the polymerization of ethylene and ethylene oxide, among other applications. Its derivatives can be used as corrosion inhibitors, emulsifiers, and other agents.
